Flag Day Celebration (AKA Daddy's Birthday)

Technically, the pool pics are not from today but I am too
lazy to make two posts.  So sue me.  Like last year,
Cal started out just sitting on the edge of the pool.
Unlike last year, he got in the pool pretty quickly
and seemed to enjoy himself
Yes, that is his pajama top.  Oh well.

Today we started off with a trip downtown to
the strawberry festival.  Honestly, Cal was
not thrilled with this outing.  Oh well.  He
doesn't get to make the decisions around here.

For a bit, he was happy to eat whipped cream, though.

Trying to sneak away

Delicious!

He actually asked to get back into his stroller.
Strange.  And then he played peekaboo with us.

After the strawberry festival, we headed up to
Westfield for a touch a truck event.

By this point, he was fine with looking at trucks but no longer
wanted to get inside them.  It was pretty loud (lots of horn honking)
and the crowd was fairly large.  I think he was a bit intimidated.

After a dinner of shrimp fajitas for the adults and
graham crackers, cheese, and watermelon for the
younger set, we headed to Lions Park.

C'mon, Daddy!!

Daddy is the best!

Back at the house, we hung out on the porch,
playing basketball and dipping into the water table.

Daddy said it was OK to paint him.

Daddy may be regretting that.

We finished out the day with Andy's requested
Choco Tacos.  This picture is deceptive because
while Cal did take a bit of Daddy's treat, he spent
most of his time chowing down on mine.
