In the Words of Cal

I don't want to forget all of Cal's little "sayings" so I thought I better write them down here.  He's fond of saying:

"Hmmm. . .let me see here."
"More again."

When we're in the car, he says:

"Go fast!" at green lights and yells out "Stop!" at red lights and stop signs.

Two mornings ago, he melted my heart.  Up to this point, he has said "I love you" now and again but it seemed more like he was just repeating after me.  I was carrying him downstairs on Tuesday morning and I said, "I love you, buddy."  He said, "I love you, too."  Big smile from me, of course!

He's also been big on self-congratulations lately.  After climbing up the monkey bars at the playground, he would say, "Alright!" or "Hooray!"

I've also noticed that we always refer to Grandma and Grandpa Fox.  And, since we live close to my parents, we are able to visit them more often.  So, we frequently refer to Grams' and Papaw's house.  I realized that if I ask Cal something about my mom and dad, he always says "Grams and Papaw house."  I think maybe he thinks their name includes the word house?

I know there are more but I'm going to stop for now.  I'm going to try to be better in the future, though, about getting some of this stuff down along with all the pictures.

Mom and Dad have obviously lost their minds -
they let me use the hose by myself to wash out
my wheelbarrow.

Eventually, I figured out I could aim it in other directions.

Cooper stopped by the play with the water table.

We also spent some time playing in the dirt.
I "may" have gotten a little dirty.

No, that's not a black eye.  Just dirt.

Mother's Day Weekend

We started off the weekend right with a little ice cream.  Root
beer float for me and in a dish with chocolate syrup for Little Man.

Now that is a smirk.

Saturday evening, we went to the park.  Hanging
out by the water was a big hit, as usual.

Cheese!

After we got home from the park visit and dinner,
we spent some time in the yard with his new dump truck.

We make some fashion statements around here.

Cal wanted to get a nice, smooth shave in
preparation for Mother's Day.

For Mother's Day, we started out with a
stop for some delicious donuts.  Cal chose
chocolate and was happy to dig right in.

After donuts, we headed to the zoo.

We had a great time.

We rode the train for the first time.  I was pretty underwhelmed
but Cal really enjoyed himself and said the train was "fast."  Ha!

Peek-a-boo!

Snack time - popcorn was a big hit.
