Happy Half Birthday to Me!

Grams got me a chair for my half birthday and I think it's pretty cool!
I am really loving this cup holder. I think I need a soda to put in here.
Still investigating
Hello, there! Did you know that I am six months old?
This is my pal, Sophie. I just love her.
Whoa - crazy baby!
Just hangin' around being 6 months old.
I love to move and explore more and more these days.
This is my unhappy face. Right after this pic, I rolled over. I am able to roll from stomach to back and back to stomach these days.
Cheese!
I'm getting pretty close to sitting up on my own. Mom helped me this time but pretty soon I won't need her to hold me up.
Man, I'm a mover these days. And I love exploring those things on the end of my legs. What are those called again? Feet?

Could I be working on some teeth? I'm drooling a lot and loving my teething toy, Sophie, so you never know.
Well, today is Cal's 6 month birthday. It is really hard to believe. The days seem to have just flown by. He has grown and changed so much right in front of our very eyes. These days he's eating fruits and cereal along with his bottles. Recently, he tried green beans for the first time. They were not a success but we'll keep trying. Beth also gave his some puffs and he seemed to enjoy those. We'll have all his facts and figures this Friday at his 6 months check-up so stay tuned for that.

Quilt

Can you believe this cool quilt that Aunt Jane made for me?
I am pretty excited about it.
Seems like it will be good to wrap up in during the winter.
And it accents my cuteness nicely, I think.
Here it is minus Cal.

We were very excited to receive this beautiful gift in the mail yesterday. It is both useful and decorative. We love the frog theme. All of the fabrics are so cool!

Sleepy, so very sleepy

Dad came home the other night after school and found mom and I like this. I had cried myself to sleep.

Mom came to get me after a nap the other day and found me like this, one arm hanging out of the crib. Comfy.

These Boots are Made for Walkin'

Just hangin' out with Sophie
What up? Let's take a walk.
Stopping off the sit by the pond.
I'm so strong. They let me hold Kobi's leash.
Getting some love from mom.
What is that dog doing?
If I whine enough, dad will take me out of the stroller so I can see things a little better.
This is really fun!
Best thing about this pic? A few seconds later, I spit up all over dad's head. Gotcha, dad!
Kobi is so very lazy. Or maybe just old.
Who needs toys? I can just play with this thing.

Today, mom and dad had an Open House to try to sell our house. So, we needed to get out of the house. We decided to take a walk on the Monon. We all had a great time. The weather was great and we ended up walking 4 miles. Well, mom and dad walked, I rode and was carried. Kobi made it most of the way but finally succumbed to fatigue and rode the rest of the way.

First Race for the Cure

Getting ready - check out that cool pink bib!
Cal is thinking about doing some pre-race stretches.
I like the view from up here.
Ready to go!

For several years, we've been on a friend's team for the Komen 5K. This year was Cal's first time. He had a good time pre-race, got a bit fussy in the big crowd at the beginning, but was lulled right to sleep. He completed the race with his fastest ever time for a 5K, coming in just ahead of mom and grandma. He's going to be doing some serious training before the next one.
