Last weekend, we headed north for Andy's family reunion. Cal loved the wagon ride.
Even Byron enjoyed it.
Sometimes we are just big sillies around here. Cal Man and I sat like this for the longest time. He was giggling up a storm.
This weekend, we headed north again - this time for Swiss Days. When we arrived, Cal helped out by carrying in his clothing.
We arrived just in time for lunch so we headed downtown. Byron was able to join us - tenderloins for the adults and a hot dog for Little Man.
Later in the day, Cal helped Grandpa with some tomato harvesting.
Look at that haul.
Helping with some more gardening
Friday night, we headed downtown again for dinner. Cal had a great time walking around and taking in the sights with Grandma and Grandpa.
After dinner, Cal enjoyed a little train ride.
Back at home, Grandma and Cal played with this cool puzzle. When you line the blocks up right, the puzzle makes the appropriate animal sound. Cal could not get enough of it.
Saturday morning, Andy participated in the 5K. Cal and I went down with grandma and grandpa to cheer him on. Cal tried to hide from all the paparazzi but was not successful.
Gotcha!
Uncle Ben, Aunt Dianna, and Daddy before the race
Go Aunt Dianna!
Run, Daddy, run!
After the race, we headed over the Uncle Ben's property to check out the garden. Cal especially enjoyed the corn.
Saturday was also Grandma's birthday.
Around noon, we headed downtown again for a concert aimed at kids - Rockosaurus Rex. Cal seemed to enjoy it.
Later, Cal and Daddy decided to try out the giant slide.
Cal thought it was awesome. As soon as they got to the bottom, Cal jumped up and said, "Again!"
Cal also rode the train again. This time, he was able to be up front and there was a bell to ring. He was loving it.
We stopped by the information booth to say hello to Grandma and Grandpa. And, of course, to pass out information.
We even took in a parade. Cal was riveted as usual.
He waited pretty patiently. Having some cars along helped.
He especially enjoyed the marching band. He was riveted by the story of mom's days with the Brownsburg Marching Band. He can't wait to do the same!
What could go wrong here? Small child with a large flag? He certainly won't come close to hitting people or start banging it on the ground, right?
Another favorite!
Sunday after church, we had lunch back at the house. Here's Cal helping Daddy with the corn.
And for some reason, being silly and hiding under the blanket.
