What's Up Doc?

We went to the doctor today for Cal's 4 month appointment. He was once again the hit of the office, of course!! He was cooing and laughing with Nurse Trish and one of the other nurses. He showed them all how he likes to stand and how good he is at it. Dr. B was impressed with his control for his age. He weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds 3 ounces and is now 24 1/2 inches tall. He did have to get three shots today and he wasn't too impressed with that but he did get some cool Sesame Street band-aids for his boo-boos.

To Grandmother's House We Go

Cal has booked another short trip for himself. He has his bags packed and is headed off to see Grams and PaPaw out in Brownsburg. His sitter, Beth, is going out of town for a few days so he thought this would be the perfect time for a vacay. We're headed out there as soon as we're through with his appointment tomorrow. Mom and Dad are going to bring him back to us Thursday night. Milly and Byron are coming in that night and will be hanging out with Cal on Friday. He wanted to just hang out on his own but quickly remembered that he can't reach the formula and bottles by himself. I hope that both sets of grandparents will be acting as temporary paparazzi so I can update you with his adventures.

Week in Review

As usual, the past week has been a busy one for our Cal - eating, sleeping, hanging out with the kiddos at daycare, dashing off to various social engagements. Highlights include checking out his exersaucer (his feet don't quite reach yet), a trip to Berne, and turning four months old on Saturday. As usual, the paparazzi were close at his heels wherever he turned and many photos - both flattering and unflattering - were snapped. Coming up on Tuesday is his four month appointment where he'll receive another round of shots and is sure to astound us with his enormous height and weight gains. And he is, of course, looking forward to seeing Nurse Trish.
