First State Fair and Others

Just hanging out in the playroom
Escape! The tunnel and horse were "blocking" him into the playroom. No more of that!
So, the other day, Cal crawls out of my line of vision for about 30 seconds. I figure he's just heading to look out the window. I hear a strange gurgling noise and then silence. I walk around the corner to find Cal playing in a lake of water that he had spilled out of Andy's water jug from cross country. He was having the time of his life playing in the water.
OK, I've got my sunscreen on and I'm ready to hit the fair.
Checking out the fish with dad
Hello, there!
What are you looking at?
Farmer Cal
Cal, surprisingly, loved the misters. Wasn't sure how he'd feel about being sprayed with water but he was OK with it. The fact that it was seriously hot outside probably had something to do with that.
Found a shady spot
Ribeye steak sandwich - yes, please!
My favorite treat - pickles!
Checking out the produce
Woman came by and saw me taking the previous picture - insisted that we needed a family pic so here it is.
I find dad's alma mater to be less than interesting.
I'm sure Andy was not supposed to plop Cal down on top of this but. . .
I love the can sculptures.
Charlotte's Web - sadly the web is basically invisible in the pic
Um. . .
Cal decided that keeping hats on his head is not always a bad thing.
Exploring the Wild West (play room)

Howdy pardner!

Pants on your head, pants on your head!
Helping daddy unload the dishwasher

Aren't I the best helper ever?

Recent Pictures

The other morning, Cal accompanied me outside to take out the dog. I snapped a few pictures of him on the porch. He just looked like such a big boy.

What's over there?
This is a pic from when we took Cal to the play room at the Zionsville library. Andy said Cal had a great time playing with this house, the puppets, and reading books.
Cal keeps us entertained when we are driving around in the car. For one, he constantly babbles to himself and sometimes laughs for no reason that we can see. He also spends time munching on his toes, which is what he was doing right before I took this one. But mostly, how can you resist that cute face looking up at your from the back seat?
New walker - Cal is enjoying tooling around the house, though he still hasn't figured out why he can't keep going when he runs into things like the dining room chairs.
On Friday, we had a play date with Gavin. He is the son of Andy's coworker, Mindy. He has the most beautiful red hair, doesn't he? The boys seemed to have a good time together. We all had lunch, spent some time in the play room, and went to the pool.

Cal was constantly invading Gavin's personal space. Gavin put up with it nicely, I thought.
Just hanging out on the play set and blowing bubbles in the side yard.

Calvin likes to pop the bubbles so Andy tries to catch some for him.

Cal enjoys the slide, too, but hasn't quite figured out that he has to pick up his feet to really go on his own.

More than going down the slide, Calvin enjoys climbing back up.
This was very funny to watch. Cal just laughed and laughed like this was the funniest thing he had ever seen.
