Ahhhhhh. . .Summer!

As everyone knows, it has been hot, hot, hot! And while that may not be the best weather for long walks in the stroller and running around at the playground, it's great weather for other activities. One of those is swimming, of course. We've been working with Cal a little at a time to get over his fear of the pool. Today was very successful. When we first arrived, we were told we had to wait a bit for the baby pool because of chemicals. So, we went over to the main pool. Cal sat on the side dangling his feet in the water. But, he kept pointing over to the kiddie pool and wanting to go over, which is a great sign. He also got in the water with me without the usual crying and shaking. He had to be distracted by dad with toys but all in all a good outing. Then, we moved over to the kiddie pool. He is still way more comfortable just walking around rather than sitting in the water but we're happy for him to play and have fun.

Getting a little more paint
Working hard
Summer is also a great time for relaxing in the air conditioning with a good book.
It's also a great time for enjoying a delicious frozen treat.

Family Reunion Fun

This one isn't from the family reunion but it cracks me up. Pretty much every time we go up the stairs these days, he lies down on one of the steps and starts "snoring."
Trying out Aunt Sara's sunglasses
Testing out this new food, sloppy joes
You want me to eat that dad?
Big boy feeding himself
Cupcake face
He can't stay away from slides these days
Watch me climb, Mommy!
Down I go!
Chillin' with Aunt Dianna
Playing games with the cousins

Headed home
Can you see the slight puffy lip? He was a couple stairs from the bottom at grandma's house and went tumbling down. After a bit of crying and what seemed like a lot of blood, he turned out OK.
A little light reading for the car ride home

Look right there, Mommy.
