So, we're now the proud parents of a one year old. The first year has been awesome and we look forward to all the birthdays to come. Some things about Cal right now are:
1. He is walking. He still chooses to crawl sometimes but is making the choice to walk more and more, especially in the past couple of days.
2. He loves clapping his hands. We clap our hands all the time just to get him to follow suit.
3. He is quite the eater. The first birthday dinner included green beans, hot dog, macaroni and cheese, and a piece of french fry. He gobbled everything down and followed it up with 8 ounces of formula. Wow! One of his favorite foods right now is apple slices, which he eats using his feeder.
4. He "talks" to us all the time, including big gestures. Whatever he is saying sure is interesting, I guess! He can say a few words - mama, dada, bye-bye, dog but doesn't say them consistently.
5. He seems to like books and being read to. He has a book that is plastic for bath time and the picture of the cow in there just cracks him up.
6. Speaking of baths, he loves them these days and would probably stay in there for hours if we let him.
7. He's got a one year check-up coming up on Monday so I'll update with stats then but last week he went in for an ear infection and weighed in at 19 pounds, 12 ounces.
There are a million more things I could list but I'll stop there for now. Enjoy the pics of our big Little Man.
