Chef Calardee

First, we roll out the dough.  OK, OK, biscuits!

Spooning on the sauce

He was really pretty careful with this.

And now for some cheese!

He was having such a great time.

Last but not least, the pepperoni to finish.

He did use a couple of the pepperoni as frisbees.  Oh, well.
Nobody's perfect.  And it did look like a lot of fun.

Enjoying the final product.  He picked off the pepperoni.
He doesn't know what he's missing.

In the words of Cal, "Happy Halloween-y!"

The trick or treat experience was a lot of fun with Little Man this year.  He was definitely more into the whole thing and had been looking forward to it for days.  He said "trick or treat" a bunch before we actually left but seemed confused about that at the actual houses.  He did say "thank you" though and on his own started wishing people a "Happy Halloween-y!"  All in all a good (if a bit frigid) experience.  Several people thanked him for delivering their packages.  And one guy said, "I thought they always wore shorts."  Not in this weather, buddy.  Happy Halloween!
He decided he should pose by Pumpkin Man
before we moved him out to the porch.
But, then he kept covering his face.
Read to head out!

I can do this all by myself.

Watching him try to ring the bells was pretty
funny.  He is a little unclear on how many times
you are supposed to press the button so we had
to issue a coupe of apologies.  Oops!

Had to try out some Skittles when we got
home.  It was pretty frigid out there so I
think he was doing this pose to warm up a bit.

Zoo Boo

Last weekend, we hit the zoo for Cal's first experience with the
Zoo Boo.  Overall, we had a good time.  There was a
bit of whininess that went along with the fact that he
refused to take a nap that day.  But, all in all, I think
it was a good time and we would do it again.  Very,
very crowded but we weren't overly bothered by it.

He was excited to use his Halloween bucket
and get his treats.  He has mentioned to me
a couple of times since then that on Halloween
he will wear his costume like Uncle Josh and
collect treats.  I think he is a bit confused
about the job of a UPS driver but it's cute anyway.

The first time through, he wanted me to carry him through the
obstacle course.

Then, he wanted me to go with him.

Then, he wanted to run with wild abandon on his own.

No, I do not know who this other child is.  Oh well.

Our Boy is Three!

Just two working men
Relaxing after a hard day

Check out my cool pumpkin.  I picked out
the pieces and mom put them on for me.

My first Pinterest creation - I'm rather proud of it.

The morning of the birthday - ready to go!

We let him open his card and a couple of gifts from us before
we headed off for his 3 year pictures.  He really examined
the card.  Cracked me up.

When he opened presents today, he kept saying, "What's in
here?  And "What is this?" (This one was a cool
Batman shirt with a cape and Geo from Umizoomi.)
It's Geo!

Cool stuff from the Hons family - a kite, a
bug catcher, and an awesome truck.

We opened a couple more from Mommy and Daddy when
we got home.  He did pretty well with the pictures - listening
about as well as he usually does.  : )

A new floor puzzle from Mommy and Daddy.

An Umizoomi coloring book

He also opened his new book Calvin Can't Fly.
We found this one at the library a few months
ago and got it because Calvin's name was in the
title.  But, it's actually a great story, too.  As
he usually does with books, he wanted to sit
down and read it right away.

Birthday feast - pizza!

We've been wanting more track pieces for our Thomas trains
so this gift from Grandma and Grandpa Fox was perfect.

Another new floor puzzle - he wanted to put it together right
then.  Actually, that was his reaction to pretty much everything.
He wants to play all the games, read all the books, do all the
puzzles immediately.  I had to encourage him to keep opening.

I just love how Grant is leaning in checking out the card, too.

Cool Umizoomi bath toys from Aunt Sara

This was a car launcher from Uncle Josh.  A big hit!

Hot Wheels?  Awesome!

Grandma and Grandpa Fox also brought a bucket of Halloween
goodies.  It was filled with some really fun stuff.

Cake time!

Of course, he dug right in.

Grant and Cal playing together and having such a good time.
It was fun to see them together.  We need more playdates.

Hanging out in the Hot Wheels storage bin
A big thank you to everyone who was able to make it today - Grams and Papaw, Grandma and Grandpa Fox, Grandma Winnie, Uncle Josh, Uncle Joe, Aunt Jackie, and Grant.  A big thank you to Aunt Dianna, Uncle Ben, and Aunt Sara, too.  We wish you could have been with us today.
