I love my kitchen - I know exactly what to do!
Just frying up a little bacon

I'm "so" excited about this.

Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve, Grams, Papaw and Uncle Josh came over to our house. We went to mass at St. A's and then had a little appetizer buffet. Everything was delicious - especially the chicken wings and hanky pankies. Then, Papaw and Uncle Josh put together Cal's kitchen. Everyone spent the night so we could all wake up together on Christmas morning.
Is there anything cuter than little tiny dress clothes? The tie, the vest, the button down shirt - oh my!

We took quite a few of these and this is the best of the bunch. Oh well.
I am a tiny little old man.
First time having mom's Christmas cookies - yummo!

Pants are a little droopy. The only size they had was 24 months and I just thought these were so cute.

14 Months - One Day Late

Just realized that I did not make a 14 month update for the blog yesterday. Whoops! So, anyway. . .what's he been up to lately?

He is "talking" a lot but not with actual words. We were hoping that after his ear surgery was behind us, we'd start having lengthy conversations with him. : ) No such luck so far.

We've been allowing him to feed himself with a spoon. It's not perfect but he is able to get food into his mouth!

He is blowing kisses, giving hugs, and giving kisses. The giving kisses is especially funny to me. I will say, "Give me a kiss." He will walk up to me, crouch down, and lay one on me. Why the crouching? I'm not sure because I usually have to crouch down to meet him. Maybe it's because I crouch down to give him hugs and kisses, he thinks this is part of it?

He eats a variety of things and will try most anything. He loves crackers with peanut butter, yogurt (any flavor), cinnamon toast, cream of wheat and cocoa wheats, goldfish crackers, animal crackers, pears, applesauce, green beans, spaghetti, french fries (I know, I know), hot dogs. . .OK, OK, the list goes on and on so I'll stop there.

He loves any of the toys with buttons to push that make noise. He has been pushing his cars all over the house, too. He's also been having a great time with his Nativity. Unfortunately, the pieces seem to end up here and there but he's having a great time. His favorite book to read right now is Five Little Ladybugs or any touch/feel book.

As for height and weight - no idea but I can tell you that he has 6-9 month pants that fit perfectly!

I'll leave you with this cute one of Little Man attempting to feed himself some yogurt.

Funny Hats and Haircuts

This hat was made by one of my third graders back when we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade. We were searching for something that fit Cal and stuck this on him the other day. Hilarious.

I think I'll take this off, Mommy! Wouldn't that be so funny?
Playing with his Christmas present from Beth - loves it!
Side view of the new haircut
My little man
What happened???????
The little cake counts the candles out loud and then sings, etc. He was loving it - pushing the buttons over and over and dancing around.

Such a big boy in his haircut cape - first haircut today!!

A Visit and Early Christmas

This week, Cal went for a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Fox's house. Before we met up with them in Kokomo, I snapped a few pics of Cal hanging out in the back seat of the car. We were waiting for Andy to meet up with us and drive the rest of the way up.

This was Cal at the restaurant right before we parted ways. He spent the whole meal grinning and and entertaining everyone.
After he returned home on Saturday night, Cal spent some time playing with his Nativity.

There's that shepherd again. He always seems to wander off.
Amazing how fun a cardboard tube from some wrapping paper can be.

Making silly faces at Aunt Ruth's house where we hand an early Christmas celebration with Aunt Ruth, Uncle Jack, Aunt Esther, Aunt Kim, Uncle Greg, Devon, Grams, Papaw, and Uncle Josh.

I'm the best present my mom and dad ever got.
So. Not. Impressed. (He actually did put this on his own head and was a bit happier at the time.)
Checking out my new pillow pet

Look at all that hair - mom and dad say they are taking me for a hair cut this week. I hope I don't lose all my strength.
